“Receiving this High-Performing distinction in Heart Failure care is a testament to our unwavering commitment to clinical excellence,” Rodney D. Reider, Chief Executive Officer and Market President of Conemaugh Health System, said. “This achievement reflects the dedication, skill, and compassion of our healthcare professionals, especially those in our heart failure program and emergency department.”

The annual U.S. News ratings, which evaluated nearly 5,000 hospitals on specific specialties and procedures, serve as a key resource for patients navigating healthcare options. Achieving a High-Performing designation signals that Conemaugh Memorial has consistently delivered outstanding outcomes, nursing care, and patient satisfaction in heart failure treatment.

Ben Harder, Chief of Health Analysis at U.S. News, noted, “The High-Performing designation highlights hospitals that consistently deliver high-quality care in specific procedures and conditions, underscoring their expertise and commitment to patient well-being.”

Conemaugh Memorial’s high rating adds to its list of certifications, including its Chest Pain Center and HeartCARE Center of Excellence recognitions. This year’s U.S. News analysis incorporated additional data, evaluating care for Medicare Advantage plan patients and outpatient services, broadening the scope of the hospital’s performance metrics.

“This recognition is also about our commitment to our neighbors and friends who rely on us for high-quality, compassionate care close to home,” Reider added. “We’re proud to be a healthcare partner for our community, supporting healthier lives and stronger futures for everyone we serve.”
