Leading the charge are two highly respected surgeons: Dr. Darien Bradford and Dr. Jeffrey Lin, who together bring decades of experience, innovation, and heart-centered healing to the community.
Building a High-Performing Surgical Program—Together
Dr. Bradford, an early architect of Texas Health Huguley’s original cardiac surgical program in the early 2000s, returned to the hospital in 2024 with a clear mission: expand the world-class cardiothoracic program rooted in faith and community.
Prior to rejoining Texas Health Huguley, Bradford continued to practice in the community, working in the Mansfield market for over two decades. He now joins Dr. Lin, board-certified in both thoracic and cardiac surgery, who specializes in minimally invasive techniques and robotic procedures, giving patients access to the latest advancements with less trauma and faster recovery times. Dr. Lin, who has performed surgeries at Texas Health Huguley for more than two decades, now practices exclusively at the hospital.
Together, they perform a wide range of procedures including coronary bypass grafting (including off-pump or “beating heart” surgery), aortic and valve surgeries, lung resections, esophageal surgery, and robotic-assisted thoracic interventions for conditions like lung cancer, reflux disease, and much more.
Shortly before Dr. Bradford and Dr. Lin joined Texas Health Huguley, the hospital expanded its cardiac services by acquiring a cardiology group that includes four cardiologists, an electrophysiologist and multiple nurse practitioners. With the addition of this highly skilled group and a collaborative, team-based approach, Texas Health Huguley is rapidly becoming a destination for patients seeking comprehensive and compassionate care for heart and lung conditions.
“Having two highly-trained, distinguished surgeons in the same office allows us to serve patients with a broad range of cardiothoracic needs efficiently and effectively,” Dr. Bradford said. “But it’s more than that.
